Match videos: pause and write down your choice first
Pick a path before you watch the shot, then find the difference between the player’s choice and yours.

One thing to remember today
Rather than whether you chose the same, compare why a different path was chosen.
Written and edited by TTBoys · How we write and check sources · Report an error
In 달달한30점’s match videos you can compare the choice of attack, the reference used and the speed. Pause just before the shot and write down the path you would choose first. Choosing a different path is not automatically wrong. The point of the review is to check whether you missed a difficult thickness or a kiss risk.
1. Start with the original scene
If playback is blocked or you want to see the scene again, watch from 1:00 on YouTube ↗
The scene buttons jump to the times we checked. Keep watching for the full explanation and the actual shot.
2. Sum it up in a diagram and check the conditions
- Preparation
- Have paper or the record boxes below ready before you see the answer. You can start without a table.
- Order of observation
- Look in this order: cue ball, first object ball, second object ball → cushion order → collision risk → arrival speed.
- Numbers on screen
- 3:00 shows 3/8 thickness and 3 tips at 10 o’clock. That is the condition for that scene, not a reference for every back-around shot.
- Link to systems
- Five and a half is shown in the original’s back-around and around-the-table scenes. Check the numbering before you read the numbers.
3. Follow the steps
Pause before the shot
Start from the 3:00 scene. Pause on the layout before the balls move and check each ball’s role.
Write down your choice
Write which object ball you would hit first and the cushion order you would go around. If you see a difficult thickness or a risk of hitting another ball again, note that too.
Play it and find the difference
Find one point where your choice and the video’s differ. Even on the same path, see whether the speed or the first-cushion position was different.
Connect the name with its conditions
Don’t just memorize the name “five and a half”; check where the reference is read in that layout. Write down the shown thickness and tip position as applying to that shot only.
Repeat with other layouts
Review the around-the-table scene at 6:00 in the same order. If you reproduced it on a real table, record that separately from what you watched in the video.
If it isn't working, start here
After watching to the end you say, “I’d have played it like that too”
Write down your choice before playing the video so you can tell the path you actually saw from the result.
You count every choice different from the player’s as a failure
The goal of this exercise is comparison. If you can explain one pro and con of the two choices, count the review as complete.

4. Review 10 layouts
Layouts 1–5: record pause → your choice → play → one difference.
Layouts 6–10: repeat the same order and look for conditions you often miss.
“2배” (twice as fast) in the video title is the creator’s title. Watching alone does not guarantee a particular score or rate of improvement.
Record a layout as “done” when you wrote down your choice first and explained one difference from the video. This is not a scoring-rate record.
Tap a number to cycle: not recorded → hit → needs work.

We reviewed the description and the screens at 1:00, 3:00 and 6:00. The description says the thickness and tip position labels were left out, but some actual scenes show them, so this guide goes by the scenes.
We checked the video description and the selected scenes. We did not verify the full transcript or measure anything on a real table. The steps, diagrams and 10-shot drill are TTBoys' editing and do not imply review or partnership by the creator.
